My dearest little darling,

You are now only 8 weeks away from coming to see the world. I can’t describe how excited I am, looking forward to seeing you soon. The last 32 weeks have been a wonderful journey for me, knowing that you are also having a great time growing inside me. The happiness and excitement have far outweighed the little things I have to endure. The morning sickness, loss of appetite, weight gain, leg cramps, skin rashes, tiredness, backache - you make the sufferings all worthwhile.

You dad and I are so grateful for you, the little miracle and most precious gift God has given us. We can’t wait to bring you to this world, to our lovely home which your dad has spent the last several months re-decorating to prepare for your arrival.

Organised as I am, I have even laid out plans for your future education and thought about how your dad and I will play a part in teaching you good values as well as helping you to build a good character so that you will have the fundamental qualities that are essential to succeed in your life. But irrespective of how much great expectation I have for you, I know one day you will have a mature mindset and prefer to make choices on your own. Until then, I hope that I can be a good mother, teacher and friend to you and offer as much as I can in helping you to grow as a mature, capable and responsible young man.

Knowing that you will eventually leave me one day and start a life journey on your own, I truly cherish the short 9 months during which we can be so close together. My precious little baby, I wish that I will be a good mother to you.
